Maple Barbecued Spareribs

3 lbs. Spareribs

1 C maple syrup

1 T chili sauce

1 T vinegar

1 T Worcestershire sauce

1 small onion chopped

½ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. dry mustard

1/8 tsp. pepper


Roast strips of ribs on a rack at 425º for 30 min. Drain fat from pan. Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Place in the bottom of a 9x12” pan. Combine remaining ingredients in a sauce pan and boil 5 min. Pour over ribs in pan and bake uncovered at 375º for 1 hour.



Maple Marinated Steak

3-4 lbs. Chuck beef, 1” thick

¾ C maple syrup

½ C soy sauce

½ cup cider vinegar

2 tsp. dry mustard

½ tsp. black pepper

½ tsp. garlic powder


Trim off fat. Marinate for 4 hours. Remove meat. Broil 30-40 min. Baste frequently.



Maple Pork Chops

6 pork chops

¾ C maple syrup (grade B)

6 thin slices of lemon

1 C chili sauce


Arrange pork chops in baking dish. Place slice of lemon on each pork chop. Top with maple syrup and chili sauce. Bake covered for 1 hour and 25 min. in a 350º F oven. Bake uncovered for 25 min. longer. Baste frequently.
